Roshambo, also known as rock-paper-scissors, is a hand game played between two people, in which each player simultaneously forms one of three shapes with an outstretched hand. The shapes are rock, representing a closed fist; paper, representing an open hand with fingers extending upwards; and scissors, representing a closed fist with the index and middle fingers extending forward. The game has roots in Japan, but has gained popularity worldwide and can be used as a decision-making tool or as a simple pastime. In some cultures, it is even used to settle disputes or make important decisions.
